Cardinal Group Receives Two MHN Excellence Awards: Best Marketing Campaign and Madison Meier recognized as a Rising Star
DENVER, CO – December 1, 2023 – Cardinal Group (Cardinal), a Denver-based real estate company and leader in student housing and multifamily property management, was awarded two Multi-Housing News Excellence Awards at the 17th annual Excellence Awards ceremony on November 30. Cardinal took home Bronze for Best Marketing Campaign for the 2022-2023 fall leasing campaign, Committed. Madison Meier, SVP Head of Capital Markets, received a Bronze award in the Rising Star category.
The MHN Excellence Awards recognizes the multifamily industry’s most noteworthy people, companies, professionals, and more. Winners were selected by a panel of judges representing expertise across all multifamily disciplines.

Cardinal’s marketing team has been plugged in since the boom of influencer marketing and continues to adapt to its changing scene. In response to the launch of the NCAA’s new NIL rule, Cardinal created the Committed campaign, a universal student leasing campaign that took an elevated spin on collegiate athletics. The campaign launched in September 2022 on the basis that sporting events are the ultimate place for college students to come together and take pride in their school. The campaign aimed to leverage this feeling of belonging and commitment to a team and channeled it into gaining new lease leads and renewals with a $10,000 scholarship up for grabs. The successful campaign resulted in Cardinal communities leasing at 7.9% ahead of prior years and achieved renewal rates of 33%.
In addition to Cardinal team efforts, Madison Meier took home acknowledgment of her rising star status.
Meier serves as the Senior Vice President and Head of Capital Markets for Cardinal Group Investments. Her primary responsibilities include investor relations and capital raising efforts for the firm’s investment vertical. She also develops strategies to evolve the company’s investment pursuits and creates new products to diversify Cardinal’s offerings to the capital markets. Meier has consistently shown her expertise and skill in navigating numerous new investment partnerships and large-scale transactions for Cardinal. As a rising star in the commercial real estate industry, Meier continues to impress and inspire others with her passion and drive.
