November 18, 2022 — Cardinal Group Management recently launched Leonardo247 in 178 managed and owned student housing communities throughout the United States.

Leonardo247 helps owners and operators streamline maintenance and operations workflows by automating time-consuming tasks. This solution provides the advantage of a real-time overview of community operations and offers new inspection tools to be created and customized for each community. In addition, Leonardo247 technology allows for a more sophisticated approach to managing residents’ requests and helps to reduce costs and risks.

“The implementation of Leonardo247 was part of our broader strategy to implement technology solutions that offer innovative workflows to improve efficiency and create a better resident experience,” said Jennifer Cassidy, SVP of Student Housing Operations, Cardinal Group Companies.

Cardinal piloted the Leonardo247 technology integration during the 2022 Turn season and saw an immediate benefit in streamlined workflows. During the initial integration, the student portfolio conducted over 30,000 inspections and captured over 100,000 photos of unit inspections within the Leonardo system. Leveraging the integration between Leonardo and Entrata was the key to reducing the time required to turn each unit and eliminating the manual billing process for damage charges that happen in bulk during student housing turn. In addition, communities implemented new inspection tools, including open and closing checklists, REAC inspections, site assessments, and tool inventory. Additional inspection tools are in development and tested weekly to improve automation within the Leonardo system.

Enhancing property technology in real estate allows operators to make informed business decisions that can positively affect residents and their experiences within their communities. Cardinal will continue to expand the Leonardo247 software to the conventional and affordable portfolio throughout the remainder of 2022 and will be fully integrated into the platform by January 2023.
