Cardinal Group Companies Announces Partnership with Entryway to Open the Door for At Risk Individuals and Families with Employment and Housing Opportunities
DENVER, CO — July 10, 2023 — Cardinal Group Companies, a leader in the student, affordable and multifamily housing industry, has announced its partnership with Entryway (formerly Shelters to Shutters), a non-profit that provides apartment companies with a pipeline of pre-screened, trained, and ready-to-work individuals for their entry-level positions. Entryway offers a unique program that focuses on sourcing talent where hiring managers may not be looking: individuals and families at risk of or facing situational homelessness.
Entryway participants receive industry-specific career training and mentorship to strengthen their existing skill sets and prepare them to enter new career opportunities in the apartment industry. As a partner of Entryway, Cardinal will receive candidate referrals for their open entry-level positions such as maintenance technicians and leasing agents in turn providing discounted housing opportunities for those Entryway participants hired.
“We are thrilled to announce this partnership,” said Alex O’Brien, CEO, Cardinal Group Companies. “Entryway has shown commendable dedication to serving these individuals and families during uncertain times. We are always in search of organizations that are Mission-focused and we love the Mission of Entryway. We are aligned on the mission to provide life-changing opportunities to the situationally homeless.”
Approximately 582,500 Americans experience homelessness daily, with 78% facing situational homelessness. Collaborating with a network of 55 prominent multifamily industry partners, such as Cardinal Group, Entryway facilitates job opportunities and generates substantial community impact with a lasting sense of purpose.
Since its founding in 2014, Entryway and its multifamily partners have moved over 500 people out of homelessness, including program participants and their families. Entryway operates in nine major markets: Atlanta, Charlotte, Charleston, Central Florida, Houston, Nashville, the National Capital Region, North Texas, and Greater Phoenix.
“Together with our partners, we are breaking down barriers for individuals and families so they can step into their true potential,” said Entryway President & CEO, David Williams. “We look forward to working with Cardinal Group to bring them trained, ready to work talent for their open positions and ultimately put individuals back on a path to economic independence.”
