JourneyUpdate 18 2 1024x384 - Cardinal Group Companies Ranked No. 34 On NMHC Top 50 Managers List

DENVER, CO – April 20, 2026 Cardinal Group Companies has been ranked No. 34 on the National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC) 2026 Top 50 Managers list, marking the company’s sixth consecutive year being recognized among the nation’s top multifamily housing managers.

The NMHC Top Managers ranking is widely regarded as a leading industry benchmark, recognizing firms based on the number of multifamily homes managed across the United States. In 2026, the NMHC expanded its methodology to include Built-to-Rent (BTR) units for the first time, reflecting continued evolution across the multifamily sector.

Cardinal’s ranking reflects sustained growth and operational scale, with 56,874 units under management in 2026, up from 54,622 units in 2025.

“Six years on the NMHC Top 50 is an incredible milestone. Our growth to 56,874 units isn’t just a number; it represents the hard work of our on-site and HQ teams who show up every day to build communities where residents truly thrive. I’m incredibly proud of how we’ve scaled while staying true to our core values.” said Andrew Shinbane, a leader within Cardinal Group Companies’ Client Services team.

The NMHC rankings collectively represent a significant portion of the U.S. multifamily housing market, with the Top 50 managers overseeing approximately 24% of the nation’s stock. Cardinal’s continued presence on the list underscores the strength of its vertically integrated platform and its ability to deliver results across investment, development, management, and marketing.
