What is your role?

Customer Account Specialist (CAS)

Describe your Cardinal Journey (roles you previously worked in before your current position)

I embarked on my journey at Cardinal as a Community Intern and then transitioned into the role of a Full-Time Leasing Agent, where the focus shifted towards understanding leasing procedures, property tours, and fostering relationships with prospective tenants. After that, I was promoted to the position of Assistant Community Manager, where I gained deeper knowledge of property operations, team management, and resident relations. Currently, I am a Customer Account Specialist on our CX3 team.

 

How did you decide to join the Cardinal team?

I applied to be a Community Intern as a full-time college student. This job was a great way to build my skill set and apply it to my personal life.

 

What’s the most significant lesson you’ve learned in your time at Cardinal?

The most significant lesson would be to have fun! Every day is a new day to start fresh, so don’t be too hard on yourself.

What do you find most exciting about your job? Most challenging?

The most exciting aspect of my job is working with people who truly love helping people make a house feel like home.

 

If you could choose one word to describe your time at Cardinal, what would it be and why?

Growth – There are so many growth opportunities within Cardinal that could be applied to professional and personal life.

Who has been influential in your life (professionally or personally), and how have they helped guide you?

One of the most influential people in my life is my older brother. He has really paved the way for my siblings and I by teaching us how to become the best versions of ourselves.

 

What’s something people may not know about you?

My favorite Cardinal Core Values is #5, Embrace Change.

 

What advice would you give to someone starting out in the industry?

The opportunities are endless in the Housing Industry. There is a job for just about everyone so do not be afraid to pivot and branch into new departments you find interesting.

What is your proudest moment working at Cardinal Group?

My proudest moment working at Cardinal Group was when I was nominated to attend Leadership Summit as an ACM.

 

What is your biggest motivator?

My biggest motivator is the development and growth of myself and those around me.

 

What has been the most interesting change you’ve seen in the industry, and why?

The most interesting change that I have seen in the industry would be the implementation of AI tools.

 

What is your favorite college town in America, and why?

My favorite college town in America is San Diego, of course!
