Learn more about Vivi’s journey below!

What is your role?
I have served as the Corporate Accounting Manager for the last five years.
Describe your Cardinal Journey
My Cardinal journey has focused on learning, growing, and developing our extended team in India. Working at the HQ office in Denver has provided me with the chance to meet and collaborate with many great team members. Joining the Business Resource Groups has also opened up communication, networking, and learning opportunities, for which I am grateful. I was honored to receive the Team Member of the Year for Accounting award during Leadership 8.

If you were to live at any Cardinal property outside of your own city for a year, where would you go and why?
I would love to work out of California and enjoy the beaches on the weekends.
What has been the most interesting change that you’ve seen in the industry and why?
The recent infusion of AI into our daily work has been the most interesting change. It has been a great revelation that so many things are possible with the speed of technology, and it encourages us not to be fearful of trying something new.

Can you share a home office tip that has improved your work-from-home office experience?
My top tip is utilizing recordable and transcribed sessions for training. Compared to older methods of team development, this allows for clearer communication and provides resources that the team can access anytime.
The most challenging aspect would be maintaining the fast-paced demands of our department, effectively.
What is a skill you have developed during your career that you didn’t know you had?
The skill I have developed is adaptability and resilience: quickly reacting to change and roadblocks, analyzing problems, and keeping going when things get tough.

If you could invite any historical figure to dinner, who would it be and why?
I would invite Queen Victoria. I admire her courage regarding the Empire’s expansion and politics, her commitment to her family, and her navigation of a changing world through industrialization and social reforms.

Who has been influential in your life (professionally or personally), and how have they helped guide you?
My grandmother has been the most influential figure. She is a strong, independent, and caring woman who has been there for every major event in my life. She is my biggest role model and has had an enormous impact on the person I am today.
