1. What is your role?

National Sales and Marketing Specialist

2. Describe your Cardinal Journey.

I started as a Community intern, after I was promoted to a full time leasing team member, then I was sent to SDP, and right before I was sent I actually received a promotion for LMTL, after this I was promoted to my current position as NSMS. Within my first month as NSMS I was also nominated for Leasing Team member of the year at Summit.

3. Who has been influential in your life, and how have they helped guide you?

Joshua Johnson, my old CM at Locale Student Housing, has been the most influential person in my life. I was going through many life changes when I started working in Cardinal and Joshua was my mentor through this whole thing. He taught me many things about taking my professional life seriously and so many life tools on how to survive in the real world. He is my number one cheerleader and gave me the support I needed.

4. What do you find most exciting about your job? Most challenging?

The most exciting thing about my job is experiencing communities with new people! I love meeting people in Cardinal and creating this amazing relationship and expanding my knowledge on everything and anything.

The Most challenging is trying to conquer challenges I have never had to face before at these new communities. But what is different is I have a better tool set on how to critically think through these situations and get through them.

5.  If you could invite any historical figure to dinner, who would it be and why?

Dolly Parton, she seems like she would be an amazing person to talk to and so many things to share about life. I feel like I would just be so honored for her to call me honey.

6.  If you could master a new skill outside of work, what would it be?

I have been trying to crochet and it has been one of the most difficult things to learn.

7.  What’s a memorable project or initiative you’ve been part of at Cardinal?

I was a part of SDP which truly jump started my career. I was able to network with people who helped me continue my skills in Cardinal and how to grow myself within this company.

8.  What is a favorite travel experience, and what is another trip you would like to take one day?

I do not travel much and now that I am an actual traveler this is mainly the only traveling I do. I would say my favorite experience was going to The Main on University in Virginia. The team there was incredibly welcoming and it was incredibly lovely to work with them.
