What is your role?
Senior Media Communications Specialist
Describe your Cardinal Journey (roles you previously worked in before your current position)
I started as Videographer intern at Agency FIFTY3. I then went on to be a Media Specialist with AF3, head Videographer at AF3, and then moved to Cardinal where I am in my current role.
How did you decide to join the Cardinal team? 5
I saw AF3 posted a videographer job and I wanted to work for the company because of the excitement around a startup company and ultimately it lead to my transfer to Cardinal.
What’s the most significant lesson you’ve learned in your time at Cardinal?
The most significant thing I have learned at Cardinal is that people are what make a company great.
What do you find most exciting about your job? Most challenging?
I find most exciting the teammates I get to meet along the way. Cardinal isn’t a great company because of what we do, it’s because of the people we hire along the way. It truly is our secret sauce and I am so lucky to get to meet so many people across the organization through BRG’s, REDTALKS, Leadership and beyond. The most challenging thing about my job is being a one woman shop sometimes. I can only move so fast but I always want to take on bigger and greater challenges.
If you could choose one word to describe your time at Cardinal, what would it be and why?
HYPE – because I get to showcase our people and our culture in everything we do.
Who has been influential in your life (professionally or personally), and how have they helped guide you?
My mom has always been one of my biggest motivators. She’s probably the hardest working lady I’ve ever met and continues to encourage me to want better for myself. And to take no BS from anyone.
What’s something people may not know about you?
I have golfed since I was 6 years old, I am obsessed with Colorado, I have an all Colorado sleeve, and I drive a brand new decked out mint (lunar rock) 4runner. And I have over 175 snapbacks.
What advice would you give to someone starting out in the industry?
Network, work your tail off, and never stop learning. When you quit learning, you quit growing.
What is your proudest moment working at Cardinal Group?
I think my proudest moment was getting Rookie of the year when I was only an intern for 3 months. That was pretty sweet.
What is your biggest motivator?
My biggest motivator is getting messages from team members that were truly impacted from an edit or a recap I made. That is when I know I truly am doing my job, and doing it well.
